April 11	Dave Conklin (with Claire Phillips and Barbara Bond)	To “kick off” a discussion of proposal writing this term, we’ll be discussing a proposal by Bachelet et al., “Understanding and modeling belowground carbon dynamics in Pacific Northwest Coniferous Forests”. The proposal is currently in review so it is not appropriate to distribute via the web. Contact B. Bond if you need a copy.
April 18	Claire Phillips	Claire will present plans for the first set of experiments for her dissertation research
April 25	Tom Pypker	Tom will share our first airshed synthesis paper that he is revising in response to reviewer’s comments from Ecological Applications.
May 2	Bond	Barb will share a paper she is writing for a special issue of Tree Physiology on tree height.
