The 2011 WFIWC Memorial Scholarship recipient is Christopher O'Connor, a Ph.D. student at the University of Arizona who is working with Dr. Donald Falk. Christopher's research is focused on the interactions of fire, climate, insects, and human land use in the Pinaleno Mountains of southeastern Arizona. Since we are not having specific WFIWC presentations in 2011, both Christopher and the 2010 recipient, Daniel Ott, will have the opportunity to describe their research to us during a plenary session at the 2012 WFIWC.
Applications for the 2012 Memorial Scholarship are due on February 15, 2012. View information about this scholarship, including how to apply.
