The WFIWC Memorial Scholarship Fund earns income throughout the year from on-going sale of fund-raising items such proceedings and photographs from past meetings, and silent auctions are held during WFIWC annual meetings. The fund-raising committee encourages donations throughout the year. WFIWC members who wish to honor a specific individual are encouraged to publicize and coordinate their giving with others who share their desire to honor a deceased member. Donations to WFIWC are tax-deductible in the United States, and should be sent to the WFIWC Treasurer.
Silent Auctions featuring art work, crafts, food, insect specimens, etc. are held during most work conferences -- please be thinking of items you might donate to the next auction! Awards are given to donors for the following categories: quality, aesthetic appeal, humor, and highest amount earned for the scholarship fund. View more information about the 2009 Silent Auction.
The fund-raising activities at the 2008 work conference were very successful. Over $1,160 was raised!
Kimberly Wallin and Steve Cook serve as Co-Chairs of the Memorial Scholarship Fundraising committee. Special thanks are also due to the employees of PheroTech, Inc who display the Memorial Scholarship Plaque at their offices and transport it to Work Conference meetings.
Please consider donating items to the 2009 Silent Auction.
