Financial Report:
WFGA has three accounts: One is an account that is being used as a start up cash source for our next meetings (until registration fees etc. start coming in) (Bank of America account). All surpluses from previous meetings are deposited in this account. The other two accounts are trust funds administered by the OSU Foundation. The purpose of these two accounts is to pay the Critchfield award for the best student presentation. One account is an Expendable Account and the other is an Endowment account. Traditionally, the student awards are paid out of the Expendable account. Also, donations are usually deposited into this account. However, due to recent economic down turns, funds from the Expendable account were transferred into the Endowment account by the OSU Foundation managers to keep the Principal above $15,000.- US. That left the Expendable account with a balance of $0.00.-US, and effectively without any funds for the Critchfield award. Therefore, a motion was made to use funds from the WFGA Bank of America fund to pay for the student award.
Closing Balances as of June 30, 2002:
Bank of America Account: $3,064.87US
OSU Expendable Account: $0.00US
