From Matt: I mentioned at the SDMG meeting this morning that a new satellite had been launched for high-res imagery. It comes from DigitalGlobe, which is the same company that provided the GeoEye launch just over a year ago (Patti, you were right!).
The new sensor is called WorldView-2 and it has eight-band multispectral imagery at 1.8m (including two near-IR bands) and a panchromatic band at 0.46m.
