Note taker Theresa Valentine
Treats Keith Olsen (thanks Keith, for the great treats)
Attendees: Sharon Clarke, Christian Torgersen, Ken Vance-Borland, Terralyn Vandetta, Kelly Christianson, Ray Drapek, Matt Gregory, Sean SanRomani, Keith Olsen, Linda Ashkenas, and Theresa Valentine
Awards: Theresa for metadata, and Keith for Treats!
ArcSDE: Sean is working on this. There are some problems with multiple databases on a single server. He should have it fixed soon (we hope). Matt is looking for other people to take the SDE class in Eugene in late June.
Web page/Doug's departure: Theresa volunteered to take over the web pages. We would like to take Doug out to lunch before he leaves. Congrats on the job Doug!
Computer Space management: Not really a problem, but there was some discussion around data that needs to be documented. It was discovered that Keith Olsen has a DVD writer on his computer.
FSL 345: The room most likely will be going away as a GIS lab. Nothing has been finalized.
Plotter colors: The committee working on this is trying to get HP to look at the calibration of the plotter. Hope to have a solution soon.
Other Items:
Terralyn reported that the new /data/fordata drive was in and that there would be down time when she installs. Most likely will be next week. Terralyn will send a message before she does the work.
Sharon reported that she was acquiring revised universal soil loss equation data. She will put it in /data/fordata. Right now she has the coast range.
Willamette Atlas will be published next month. The data will be available on line as well as individual pages (in PDF format). OSU Press is printing. Linda will send out message to forgis@cof.orst.edu when this is ready.
The 2000 DOQ's for Forest Service land in Oregon were purchased by Tom Spies. Theresa will report when the CD's are on site and she has developed a plan for distribution.
Christian mentioned a survey from ASPRS. Here's a link to the survey: ASPRS survey
