  • Geospatial 2007: May 6th-11th. Website Theresa is on a team planning this event. It’s primarily a USFS/BLM event, but if others want to attend, it may be possible. (The registration page on the website gives options for non-BLM/USGS organizations, but the title does say “employees and selected guests” are invited.)
  • GIS In Action: April 17-18. Website
  • ESRI International User Conference: June 18-22 San Diego. Theresa is going on FS ticket…anyone else interested? Geoprocessing Group Meeting: Wednesday, March 28 from 10:00 - 12:00 Peavy 240

    Theresa received a new book from ESRI press called GIS, Spatial Analysis, and Modeling. You can check it out of her office if you'd like to borrow it.

  • 3. Data:
  • Working with Tins/Terrains

    Theresa showed some examples of where she had converted Lattice files to TINs and the results. She also has Lidar data from Mt. St. Helens. Mt. St. Helens grid and TIN shading large file

    There are also terrains now in ArcGIS 9.2. They use point data and correct surfaces on the fly.

  • 4. ArcGIS 9.2 Install. Jerry Mohr said that the install would most likely need to be manual, as there were parts of the old version that weren't being uninstalled first. She is looking for testers to test the installers.

  • 6. Round Table: Terralyn will be updating Mercator to version 9.2. She will check with Sean to see that Rocky SDE is upgreade to 9.2
