Welcome to the Forest Science Data Bank (FSDB). Many of our data sets are accessible online including all core data sets of the Andrews LTER. Please review the Data Access Policy. New data sets, as well as older legacy data sets, are continually being added to this webpage. All data are provided with accompanying documentation compliant with existing LTER metadata content standards, and metadata can be generated in EML (Ecological Metadata Language) or as a PDF. Our data sets consist of long-term research study data, spatial data, and analytical tools including software and models. Our Information Management System is further described in the Information Management Research Component Area

Most data sets are accessible through a user registration system and require a one-time user registration. Legacy data sets are not yet implemented within the new system and we request users to optionally complete a user registration form.

• Data catalog: This is the Master Data Catalog for the FSDB.
• Research categories: Data sets can be displayed by research theme.
• Spatial catalog: Spatial data sets include spatial study data and spatial study locations and administrative layers. Spatial data sets are available as either ArcGis export files or as shape files.
• Database search: Data sets can be searched by person, theme keyword, place, taxonomy, or project.
• Data tracking: A summary of data set downloads is displayed by study database (DB only request) and by total file downloads (all requests).
• Analytical tools: Access to models and software.
• Interactive map: An interactive application to create custom maps using HJ Andrews spatial data.
• Image library: Images of the Andrews Experimental Forest and related efforts.
• Submitting data and images: Instructions, guidelines and templates for submitting data and images to the Forest Science Data Bank.
