The 1988 Western Oregon Vegetation (WOV) Mapping Project
developed continuous estimates of several vegetation attributes
using 1988 LANDSAT Thematic Mapper data combined with ground
reference data from a variety of sources. The forest attributes
of interest were percent vegetation cover, percent conifer cover,
conifer age, and conifer size.

Abstract:
This data layer provides an estimate of percent green vegetation cover for
the forested region of the study area.
Purpose:
To provide cost-effective, flexible, and seamless map products
for use in regional scale ecological assessments.
