Reviews
IMST reviews ongoing or proposed programs and activities that
could influence accomplishing the mission of the Oregon Plan.
Many of these projects are brought to the Team for its
consideration by the Governor's office, legislature, or Oregon
Plan agencies. The Team accepts review requests based on the
request's technical merits and appropriateness to the Oregon
Plan. All review requests are considered and accepted at Team meetings.

Current and Future Reviews
- ODEQ's sediment benchmarks. On October 1, 2009, the
IMST formally agreed to review Oregon Department of Environmental
Quality's approach
developing benchmarks for excess sediment in Oregon's water ways
(download request letter). This scientific review will be completed
by January 15, 2010 and discussed at a January IMST public meeting.
ESA Recovery Plans for Salmonids
On March 15, 2007 ODFW requested that the IMST review 5 salmonid recovery
plans during the 2007-2009 biennium (download
request letter).The
IMST tentatively agreed to the review request pending available
Team member and staff time when the documents are ready for review.

Recently Completed Reviews
- Lower Columbia River Recovery Domain draft recovery plan.
The IMST is currenlty reviewing the scientific underpinnings of the
State's draft Lower Columbia River Conservation and Recovery
Plan for Oregon Populations of Salmon and Steelhead. The plan
is being prepared by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in conjuction
with the Governor's office (download
request letter). The review will be done in two stages. The first
stage was a broad
review adopted at the IMST's June 25th public meeting. The
second stage, an in-depth reivew was completed on October 6, 2009 (download
final review).
- ODFW 's Middle Columbia River Steelhead draft Recovery
Plan. On November 6, 2007, the IMST formally agreed to
review the scientific underpinnings of the State's draft recovery
plan for the Oregon Unit of the Middle Columbia River Steelhead
Distinct Population Segment that is being prepared by Oregon Department
of Fish and Wildlife (download

- ODFW's draft
Rogue Spring Chinook Conservation Plan. On March
15, 2007, the IMST agreed to review the Oregon Department
of Fish and Wildlife's
draft Rogue Spring Chinook Conservation Plan. The review was
requested by ODFW (download
