ArcInfo 8 Workgroup

The Spatial Data Management Group has created a special workgroup to investige the new ESRI GIS product ArcInfo 8. As we discover how this new software works here in the Forestry community, we will post information and reports here.

ArcToolbox Tutorial
Those of you wishing to begin learning Arc8 and having access to the program may be interested in going through a brief tutorial on ArcToolbox that Sharon Clarke and Ken Vance-Borland developed for for the Arc8 Workgroup. The one-page Word document listing the steps in the tutorial and the spatial data are in P:/classes/arc8/toolsdata (College of Forestry computer network). PLEASE COPY 'TOOLSDATA' TO ANOTHER LOCATION BEFORE USING IT TO AVOID CORRUPTING THE DATA BEFORE OTHERS HAVE A CHANCE TO USE THEM. Let Ken know if you have questions about the tutorial: 758-8772.
