RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES


     



The Forest Service encourages research use of this area. The variety of ecosystems - young and old forests, prairie headlands, streams, estuary - at this research site provide a myriad of research opportunities. The site offers long-term protection to study locations and plots; some kinds of destructive research are permissible. There are fairly extensive species lists for plants, mammals, mosses and lichens. Limited overnight facilities are available upon request. A research proposal must be submitted and approved before research can begin. Copies of any publications or reports resulting from research done at this site must be provided to the Pacific Northwest Research Station.
