The Young
Stand Thinning and Diversity Study is a long-term research and demonstration
project in the Central Cascades Adaptive Management
Area designed to determine if
different thinning, underplanting, and snag creation treatments can accelerate
the development of late-successional habitat in 35-50 year old plantations.
